Small feline brought in by a trapper. It was accidentally caught in a trap for raccoons. He was wondering if this was in fact a normal cat or a sort of cross breed between lynx or bobcat. I don’t know enough to tell. It has a little stump for a tail and pointy ears.

At first glance, I thought this robin was in the birdbath upside down. Upon closer inspection, I saw that its neck was rotated about 180° so that the bill was pointing up. I didn't know that robins can do that. I know that owls can, and that they have to move their heads to change the direction of their gaze because their eyes are immobile. Are all birds like that? I also have a photo of an eastern phoebe that looks like it has its head on backwards.
I also noticed that the robin seemed to be squirting droplets of water out of its bill, a behavior I haven't noticed previously.
I don't usually post photos of very common species, but I thought this one is interesting.
