Female Phileaus chrysops, similiar to the color type that H. Metzner described as "opisthosoma dorsally red with a broad black median band containing two parallel white longitudinal lines"(in Die Springspinnen (Araneae, Salticidae) Griechenlands) but two white lines are very thin, opisthosoma dorsal almost all black and has red on the lateral & anterior sides of the opisthosoma.
