I found these lizards in the shallow bathtub that I put out in the backyard for my dog to use in the heat. There is one lizard that has come back repeatedly, but this is the first time that I saw two. The tub is dry when they get in it and they can’t get out unless I put a stick in it for them to walk up. They must come in the night because when I leave for the night the tub is empty. They move extremely slowly when I put the stick in the tub. It takes them at least an hour to get on it. I haven’t had the patience to find out how long it takes them to walk up it.
The first time I saw one, I picked it up and it bit me. The next time I used a stick to flip it out.
