Observed after the end of the 2021 breeding season.
At least 10 adult birds gathered on beach, lots of interaction between birds. Very relaxed behaviour. A few days later all birds had departed with none to be seen on the beach.

Mysterious animal tracks.
I found these footprints on a remote beach at Tanjung Datu National Park in Western Sarawak, Borneo.
None of the park wardens or staff could identify them, even after consulting a book on footprints.
There were maybe 10 or more of the footprints scattered around an area of about 5 square metres.
The hiking boot footprint is a size 8 for size comparison.
The sand was quite compact suggesting it must have been a reasonably heavy animal.
I would love to know what animal these footprints belong to!
