Tiny wasp collected from a leaf of Vaccinium sp. along the AT near Clingmans Dome
Approx. 3mm. Found in water bowl under Eucalypt. Relocated.
I've no idea what this is, it's very small and I wasn't able to get decent photo's and then it dropped off the leaf to the ground. Usually I have some idea but this one has me stumped so I'll have to research it. UPDATE: Now that we have found an ID for this one and it is rare, I will have to return and see if I can find others and get better photo's! First record for iNaturalist, first recorded sighting on AoLA for QLD, and all other sightings on AoLA are historical collected specimens from Victoria dated prior to 1940.
Adult emerged, confirmed H. aequalis

Found this guy in the sand at Black Beach at the entrance of Great Sippewissett Marsh. Genus is Hister. This species looked right in Bug Guide.
