Description
A pale pinkish/yellowish snake-like animal observed swimming across lake into water hyacinths. Appeared to have a boa/python like head - without much "neck" - but with eyes either very small or vestigial. Its body had a "ringed" appearance, with narrow segments. This, and the tiny/vestigial eyes, suggest it was likely a caecilian, not a snake. Length estimated roughly at 50 cm. Interestingly, it was followed not far behind by a curious Least Grebe. It swam fairly well, with its body moving in an S shape as a snake would
