In an open wet area of an old gypsum mine.

3 plants, close to each other, growing on a west facing Acadian forest slope about 5m from a stream.

I always have to take note of the occasional wrong numbered plant like this one. I saw two on the same hike, probably one km apart.

albiflorum - white form

Scattered in the bog, only in dryish depressions between hummocks of spahgnum. Hard to see, but one of the few green things this time of year.

Water level was very low. In shallow bay.

Previously documented occurrence. Just a few plants by the trail.

Forma alba?

On a wet, shady bank of clay, slumping onto the rocky beach. Some plants just barely above the high tide line.

The last two photos are when I went back a week later. The flowers had opened up more.

~30 rosettes, in mature to old Tsuga canadensis - Acer rubrum - Quercus rubra forest

A nice population growing along Gaspereau River mostly under a canopy of ironwood and hemlock. I think this is a known location.
