Description
no burl. lacking most of the twig hairs of A. pilosula. But infl bracts ciliate and some scattered long hairs on petioles. Potentially A. pungens x pilosula?
Growing next to A. pilosula and A. glauca. No A. pungens seen in immediate vicinity, but present in the area.

Description
Probably a waif but in a very odd spot. Only one solo individual about 5m tall, lower bark had been stripped by a bear(?). Deep in Lopez Cyn across a stream from the trail and about 30 feet up an unstable slope.
