Found two dens nearby each other. Three porcupines were up in this tree together.
Not sure what is going on but this is the fourth birder that I know of who has had a phoebe perch on their binoculars or on their person at Commons Ford.
On oak. Anamorph pin shaped and white. Spores seem to be breaking off of small hairs on hymenium. Spores extremely small (images taken at 3000x). Teleomorph gelatinous and slightly beige. Asci 8 spored. Ascospores epsilloid and 3 septate, length 11.5-17.25 uM, width 3.45-4.6 uM.
Weird sunfish kinda looks like a green but I’m not totally sure
These mushrooms were popping up from the moist soil underneath a watered Coast Live Oak.
I posted more shots of this colony the next day, showing the progress the mushrooms made pushing out of the soil in 24 hours:
