Lamington Crayfish observed picking through moss on land. It moved away from me when it felt threatened by my presence and then began to raise its claws at me when I began to follow it.

Remains of 130-150 long-finned pilot whales that stranded in late November 2005. Another 140 stranded in Waihere Bay, Pitt Island around the same time.
