Brachydiplax denticauda

After seeing an ovipositing female we realised what the egg batches of Northern Riffle Darner look like. Several batches of eggs just under or just above the water line in the same general area.

Green-striped Darner, female, found within two metres of Davies Creek moving between roosts in high foliage.

Nest present on border of 7th Brigade and Marchant Park where earth moving was taking place. Site supervisor said pest controller visits monthly.

Male, several about patrolling the creek, landing infrequently.

First time I've found any on our property. Growing on the side of an old stump.

spores = ~ 33 x 14 um
asci = 280-300 x 18-20 um
melzer's reagent = spores brown slightly, and some to some internal bits to the asci
