I stood on the rocky banks and fished across from the dock. I dropped a small hook and worm into any area that had cover or structure. On this day, there were some floating branch debris that were floating and some green vegetation.

Captured 6 in a stream flowing from a beaver dam headed towards the cahaba river. Smaller dam at end of run, appears to be few if any on the other side of second dam, will be returning with a trap to set over night to attempt to get an accurate population measurement. All specimens captured were removed from the environment and introduced into an invasive species of Alabama aquarium at Samford university.

burrowed into the muddy bottom of the small drainage it was in. This locality is right next to a high school with 2 ponds and it drains into the Cahaba. Released from someone's aquarium???
