@underwaterpat? Not a lot of grunge on it, perhaps young or newly molted? Found after several days of high surf, so perhaps that's how it ended up in the mid-intertidal. Found by @chilipossum

Description
Two interacting Northern Pacific Rattlesnakes. The larger snake is over 4 feet long and it's head was sticking up through a pile of sticks, tasting the air and swinging left to right, as if hunting. The smaller one is about 3 feet long with a contrasting color pattern from black, to grey-brown, to white. When I first saw it, I just glimpsed it's black and white banded tail end racing through the sticks away from the larger snake. I first thought it was a banded black and white Kingsnake, but then I saw it more clearly turning and racing back past me as the larger snake continued to pursue it. The last two photos of my five posted above are of this smaller snake.
