Description
Of all the options in this family, this comes the closest. The leaves, in particular, match well. NO RED down the throat of the flower. But, it’s primarily found in Texas. Doesn’t mean it couldn’t be here, or wasn’t imported here in some manner.

Asclepiadaceae- Aquatic Milkweed (Asclepias perennis), host plant for the Monarch (Danaus plexippus) and Queen (Danus gilippus) butterflies
Note the third photograph depicts a Fiery Skipper (Hylephila pbyleus) male nectaring the Aquatic Milkweed!
