Description
Observed eating a cardinal. I think this was a predation event as opposed to scavenging. I think this unfortunate cardinal was foraging in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Description
Found him stretched out and barely responsive on the paved bike trail of Terry Hershey Park, just west of Sam Houston Tollway. I poked him gently with a stick to check for any sign of injury and only found a smal patch of roughened scales about 2/3 down his length. After about a minute of minimal response, he started rolling around (about 20 seconds) with his head bent backwards as sharply as he could manage. Rather than coils, he seemed to be in a spasm throughout most of his length. I took him home and and have him in a large plastic container, and he seems to be improving, but is still fairly lethargic.

Found under a rock near the front pond at BFL. The sun had just set. Caught it but when I was trying to get my phone, it kept squirming and ended up with it detaching its tail. As a result, there's only a picture of the tail that was still moving shortly after the detachment. My bad
