Physical description: The Blue Heron has a height of about two feet. The color of the feathers on the main body is a faded light blue. The neck and head have a dark purple/brown color. The beak transitions from white near the eyes to black at the tip of the beak. The legs appeared to be a tan color and were about 6 inches long.
Habitat: The Blue Heron tends to be located in fresh and saltwater environments. Some examples would be ponds, swamps, or rivers.
Found dead on the ground several feet away from our back door. Maybe our neighbor’s cat was finally successful with her gopher stalking.
