Situated in native bush along side of our gravel driveway after recent rains.Two separate groups of fruiting within 0.5m of each other.
Largest-size mature Fruitbody
Context 1.0cm
Stipe = 9cmL x 2.0cm W
Cap = 10cm across
Gills = Pink/darkening
Staining = Yellow with handling and cutting although not throughout. Then some red/brown staining inside.
Mid-size immature fruitbody
Context 0.7cm
Stipe = 9cmL x 1.5cm W
Cap = 5cm across
Gills = Pink
Staining = Yellow with handling and cutting although not throughout. Then some red/brown staining inside.
2 smaller immature fruitbodies left in tact:
7.5cm L x 4.5cm W
5.0cm L x 3.2cm W

Updated- Went back for a walk this morning to update the info. Appears to be close to an acacia tree but theirs also loads of eucalyptus trees, a single bunya pine and a few other scattered pines in the same “garden” bed. Im unable to narrow down the trees any better than that though.
