Blacklighting at Coral Reef Park for the 2023 City Nature Challenge (CNCSOFLO). More info about this annual global event here: https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/city-nature-challenge-2023-south-florida-cncsoflo/

I had three sheets set up. Two on/near the southern walking path and another just barely inside the pineland. All sheets were lit with cheapy DJ blacklights connected to USB battery packs.

All of my blacklighting observations from this area tonight:

Info about the cheapy DJ blacklights I used, great for getting started with blacklighting: https://www.inaturalist.org/journal/damontighe/11836-diy-moth-light

Description

Riversink Tract/Bob Rush Trail area

Set up two sheets for blacklighting, each lit by several cheapy DJ blacklights powered by portable USB battery packs. I had one sheet hung up between a pine and a large shrub and the other on the ground further down the trail in a fairly open area. You can learn more about the lights I used and my typical setups here: https://youtu.be/tavmTa7WoPk
