Tanjung Tebal, Lembeh Strait, Sulawesi, INDONESIA
This snake is about 25cm long and has a whitey yellow belly and a long triangular black pattern on its back. If its a checkered keelback it must be quite young. It came into the garden stream from a rice field stream from up the mountain. It seems to rest in the water and seems to swim most of the time.
Caught in an acidic stream by a peat swamp
Caught from a deep blackwater stream
Possibly a new species.
Length somewhere between 2 to 2.8 cm
