Description

In summer, they transport their larvae to this metal letterbox. If you open the door, they disappear without a trace along with the larvae. The next day, when the door is closed, they create piles of larvae again. Does anyone know how common they are in Switzerland?

for me Colobopsis being here is weird. Colobopsis is Tropic-subtropic in my head. same goes to those C. mississippiensis casually being in New York. Actually both winter ant species also. I guess only the cold adapted species had spread out of Asia but still, makes me feel funny
