Little bee like insect found on a fence post
In Photo 1 it is popping a droplet of nectar. Photo 5 has a western hineybee for comparison, photo 6 has a golden tailed spiny ant.
Appears to be a Stingless bee; but records of Tetragonula/ Austroplebeia aren’t available in my location.
Was 17 degrees Celsius and very windy when it flew onto my hand; in the middle of a grassland. I haven’t travelled anywhere distant from this locality for it to be a hitchhiker.
