This is a weird one but I'm pretty confident it's a Luxilus hybrid. Weird mouth and body/head shape stood out to me at time of capture. Supposedly striped/common x rosyface shiner hybrids are common in areas with chub mounds such as this. Curious what others think.
I know @nebraska_fish beat me to the punch, but there’s no way I can’t have this individual up on my inat. Flipping the rock to only to see this guy was such a wild experience, and on my birthday nonetheless!!
