Clear sunny day, tanoak/madrone woodland, found under a log

Found deceased in middle of trail :(

Adult Del Norte Salamander, elongated body and tail with shrunken limbs, but notably larger than Batrachoseps. Found in rocky talus slope.

Juvenile del Norte, identified using bright red back stripe, smaller limbs and elongated body. Both or notably less pronounced than in Batrachoseps. Found in rocky talus slope.

Male Southern Torrent Salamander, identified by square cloacal gland. Starry underside and vertically flattened tail distinguish from similar species like Ensatina.

Male Ensatina identified by constriction at tail base and fat upper lip.
