Description

Cap 2 - 5 mm across. Stipe 2 - 2.4 cm long x < 1 mm thick. Pleurocystidia and cheilocystidia yellow. Average spore size 7.3 x 3.4 µm.

Description

Cap 0.5 - 1 cm across. Stipe 3.8 - 4 cm long x 0.75 - 1 mm thick, bleeding milky latex when broken. Spores (in Lugol's solution) 8.9 - 10.6 x 5.3 - 5.7 µm. Growing in Sitka Spruce/Douglas Fir forest.

Description

Spore deposit white. Odor not distinct. Cap 2.2 cm across. Stipe 7.5 cm long x 2 - 4 mm thick. Cap and stipe bruise immediately bright red. Gills do not discolor when bruised. Cheilocystidia abundant. Spores dextrinoid, (7) 7.3 - 8.1 (8.4) x (4.2) 4.3 - 4.8 (5) µm, Q = 1.6 - 1.79 (1.8), N = 20, Me = 7.8 x 4.6 µm. Growing under Picea sitchensis.

Description

Spore deposit brown. Cap 3.3 cm across, viscid. Stipe 8.5 cm long, apex pruinose, 4.5 mm thick, bulbous base 15 mm thick. Partial veil absent. Gills finely serrate. Odor raphanoid. Growing in mossy area under Sitka spruce. Basidia 25 - 32.5 x 6.3 - 7.5 µm. Pleurocystidia absent. Cheilocystidia 45 - 55 (100) µm long x 5 - 7.5 µm wide at the apex. Spores slightly rough, dextrinoid (see last 2 spore pictures), (8.8) 9.2 - 10.6 (11.1) x (5.6) 6.1 - 7 (7.3) µm, Q = 1.43 - 1.6.

Description

Ramaria concolor form concolor - Photo F-213

Frb. – 12 cm tall by 9 cm wide.
Branches – Dull ochre bruising vinaceous. More or less vertically oriented and tightly packed. Some
white tomentum at base. Very stringy.
Tips – Ochre to mostly vinaceous.
Odor – Strongly funky-musty.
Taste – Astringent.
Spores – Ochre. Ellipsoid, warty. 8-10.2 x 4-5 microns.
Basidia - 4-spored, slenderly clavate, 40-41 x 6-7 microns.
Clamps - Present.
Habitat – Colonies under conifers in moss at Stimpson Reserve on September 9, 2014.
