Capsule like things on surrounding plants as well
Walked into my house as bold as brass…right into the paws of the resident feline. Fortunately, it was quite happy to be rescued and sat quietly on the back of my hand until I released it safely into the garden (away from said feline). Lots of skinks visiting at present.
I had never seen one of these, before! It was racing around, hence my photograph is poor. Very bright wing colours.

This is the first time I've seen myrtle rust clearly infecting Syzygium smithii/monkey apple rather than australe. I've been watching this hedge since myrtle rust first arrived, so I guess a combo of warm wet weather and more inoculum around has made it more susceptible.
