This was a long distance shot. The flock took me by surprise as normally I would expect galahs to be a little noisy but there was no noise here and I wasn’t prepared for the shot so rushed. There are small numbers of gang gangs around but never this many.. I’m thinking galahs and a flock of about 30. I don’t think they are gang gangs but happy to be corrected on this.
. Happy to just get this out there for review. Inat isn’t that helpful but does suggest galah as a possible ID I can’t see any pink on the belly to suggest galah and perhaps they are juvenile gang gang but there no clear evidence of the pink crest for gang gangs. I’m hoping if it is gang gang they hang around a little longer.
