I wasn't able to get a good photo of this bird before it flew off, but I'm hopefully that it can still be identified.
ID was confirmed from its call. I was lucky to have now seen all of the trio of similar looking honeyeaters, two of which are only found in Far North Queensland. It is a slighter bird than the yellow-spotted and Lewin's honeyeaters, with a distinctive call.
