Big Brown Bat (Eptesicus fuscus)Observer

Body was maybe 4 inches long. When it flew off the wingspan was maybe 10-12 inches? Found it in a bucket in our barn. We released it in the woods and it flew right off, seemed in good shape.

Big Brown Bat (Eptesicus fuscus)Observer

Found March 19, 2022. Photos are over the course of 10 days.
Tiny little brown bat found wet and clinging to the side of a building. I kept him safe and sheltered. I named him Allspice. On the 10th day, he was brought inside (right before a cold snap), warmed, and turned over to a local rescue. They cared for him with several other bats of his kind and released them when the weather was warmer and a stable temperature.
This little bat is a trooper and thrived amongst tough conditions.
I'd like to learn the species.
Photos:
1 - Day one, found cold and wet. I sheltered him in place blocking wind and rain.
2 - Attempt to photograph his face.
3 - After a couple of days, he crawled between the screen door and outer door for warmth and remained for several days. At one point, I put a cloth over him to keep him warm.
4 - Another view
5 - Eventually tried to feed mealworms from the pet store (with tongs). They didn't have anything smaller. He was too tired to eat. He was taken to rescue the following morning after spending the night inside warming up.
