Potentially the same species as this sighting...?

Was difficult to get decent photos of this plant due to it growing in a hard to approach spot next to a bunch of junk in the woods. There was also a convoluted spider web attached to the flower and some other nearby plants, which the pine needles and floating debris are caught in. The web seemed recent so I didn't want to disturb it just to take photos.
There is a chance this flower was spread incidentally to its location via the junk on the ground nearby, as it was the only one there, but apparently this is a very hardy and invasive species so it might also have been transported there some other way. Perhaps the dead plants had one or two of these amongst them. Either way it was growing wild and was obviously not planted deliberately.
I wasn't aware it was invasive or I would have removed it at the time. I might go back just to see if I can, although I imagine it has already rooted into the area.

Initially I thought this might be some sort of fern, since I saw no accompanying stem or flower.
