Description

Fuzzy bee fly visiting White-flowering Currant (Ribes indecorum) beside Gale Mtwy in the Claremont Hills Wilderness Park.

The absence of spots on the wings, dark leading edge of the wings, with a hyaline trailing edge, and the flight time all suggest B. major. See the identification information on BugGuide.
