This is the specimen which was the subject of my 8 September 2023 observation. Its appearance did not change much until a few days ago (around 15 Nov 2023).

On conifer wood
Stiptate, small, white
Slime mold has Clear preference for Asian beauty Radulodon on 9/30. By October 2, most of the slime mold has been covered with regular gray mold.
On oak, probably white oak. I tried 3 stains plus water. In order shown, Water, Congo Red, Cotton Blue, and Phloxine. Practically the only thing visible are hyphae, cell wall, clamps, terminal hyphae growing tip, and cut hyphae.
Referring to the yellow mass in this picture, yellow ochre slime mold, fuzzy and weblike growing on underside of rotting log with red Muligoblet Slime.
