While gathering up my scrap aluminum pile for a run to the recycling yard, my eyes were attracted to a colony of ants that had built in the channel of some aluminum rail. Within inches of this colony (and inches from where I had grabbed) I noticed a shiny black spider scrambling for the safety of its nest. Though I've never seen one before in person, I instantly knew what I was seeing.
Was growing in the middle of the yard!
