Looks like a catapillar in our lime tree
Did a presentation at Kubota headquarters on urban wildlife, and I stopped at this park in Flower Mound on the way home.
a type of swallowtail butterfly seen on the new park in the woods trail
In the back parking lot at Dead Creek W.M.A. (beyond Brilyea bridge), I watched this gorgeous butterfly for several minutes. It looked like it was dancing - staying in one place with wings up and apparently stomping its feet or shuffling them in the dust - ???
On the bridge near the Harrison Bayou area.
Observed at Cross Timbers Park, a really neat park up in North Richland Hills. I'll have to come back here again in spring time too. :)
Vine with doubly-pinnately compound leaves, black berries, and tendrils. More than ten leaflets per leaf, leaf arrangement alternate. Leaflets have teeth.
One nectaring on Alkali Heliotrope (Heliotropium curassavicum).
This Buckeye was found in a meadow of Barley and Rye. It was approximately 4 cm long.
