Field Notes - Would have identified it as a spider but I could only clearly make out 6 legs. approx 4cm long in a sheltered position outside.

Sighting and photos (c) wx.
Field Notes - Royal Botanic Gardens, SYdney, NSW, Australia
12 March 2019, 33 degrees, sunny, 2.30pm
Spider approximately 8cm including legs with a big abdomen and banded legs. Weaves big webs about 40cm wide. Stationary. Each web has only one spider but there are many webs in close proximity. Web found at least 120cm above ground.
