I believe this squamate at the base of the rocky cliffside was a western fence lizard. It was observed at point dume in Malibu scurrying along a piece of drift-tree and onto some rocks on the upper beach away from the water.
We observed this large and beautiful Egret in at Point Dume in Malibu while it was hunting in the tide pools off the Pacific coast on a sunny and slightly windy California day. It appeared to be hunting for food as it crept closer to a section of rocks then darted its head and bill forward into the water and caught a fish which it consumed before flying away.
A sneaky lizard trying its best to hide from me about 2&1/2 inches big.
Ah a white crowned sparrow blending with the bushes but can see it if you look very closely I’d say about an inch or two big
Shots of a blue heron just waiting around the shore as the pelicans and other bird breed that I forgot names of breed hunt for fish.
