kamilabrudi's Identifications

1600x pondwater sample - pretty sure this is a colonial diatom. They slink along, expanding and contracting, knocking other things out of the way as they go.

Specimen seen under microscope at 400x. Water sample collected from Southwest Greenway pond in Austin, TX.

The water sample was obtained around 1:00pm and this picture was taken with the magnification of 720(40*10*1.8).

Grasshopper in the driveway about 1.5 inches in length.

This little guy was perched on a cool evening.

Saw this on a walk mid morning. It was sunny and cold.

Saw this in my house.

They were about 5~7cm in length and flying on the creek, some mating.

Observed by apartment pool. I'd say it was roughly around 1.75" to 2" in length. Green coloration.
