Large white saccate volva, varying 4-5 cm in height, largest cap 11 cm, off-white to buff, one cap with large whie velar patch. Gills cream with a slight pinkish cast, crowded, equal in length. Stipe 15 cm, tapering upward, large skirt, striate below, relatively high on the stipe. No distinct odor. In litter, mixed woods with pine, oak and other hardwoods. Doesn’t seem white enough to be A. bisporigia
