majestysnowbird's Identifications

This swallow was sitting atop this box. It made me think that it was guarding a nest in there. After a while i saw another swallow fly into the box and I’m assuming they were a pair neutering a nest together. These birds are beautiful and I’m happy i was lucky enough to witness them.

Saw a Tree Swallow on Horsebarn Hill investigating a nestbox. It's become increasingly important as habitats are destroyed and fragmented that humans create artificial settings for birds to raise chicks, because without a suitable nesting area for a bird, especially something like a cavity-nesting Tree Swallow, they won't be able to raise chicks. This bird was likely investigating this nestbox to see if it would make good nesting space.

Green legs, streakedd/striated pattern down the front (breast & abdomen), spotted pattern on wings and back. Dark patch on top of head and back of neck.
Was fishing in shallows of pond and then had moved up onto shore when I took these photos.
Female Cinnamon Bittern?
Or possibly juvenile Black-crowned Night-Heron?
