Growing on massive decaying tree trunk base near river, collected a portion for UCD.
The primary squamules are green to olive, ascending and focally sorediate, measuring about 2-3 x 1 mm. The podetia are mostly cupless, with occasional cupped examples, rarely branched, and measure about 5-12 mm in height and 1.5 mm in width. They are sorediate throughout.
UV negative, K negative, KC negative and P plus orange-red (presumably fumarprotocetraric acid).

On a live oak branch, apothecia are almost spherical, rather than disk shaped.
