Found in sand along a medium-sized creek.
Mesic to wet mesic hardwood forest with numerous ephemeral/vernal pools.
A yellow, 5-parted flower that is 1" to 1 1/2" wide.
Plant Height: 4" to 18" tall.

Likes a dry habitat, in rich soil and shade to part shade,
Blooms Apr - June.
