Admittedly, my original ID of “Florida Cottonmouth” was somewhat irresponsible, as short of DNA, it’s nigh-impossible to determine definitively whether a given specimen Florida, Northern or Hybrid in this part of the world. Am I wrong? Seems there is too much variation in pattern, color among each population to make that call based solely on observation, but someone please correct if I’m wrong.
