I know my photos are not the greatest and this bird is rarely seen on shore. If you zoom in, you can see the distinctive beak and a trace of the white wing flashes. The bird took off when I put my phone away and I could clearly see the white wing flashes. This bird was recorded by Alabama Audubon yesterday and was shared on their Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/101643196566722/posts/3276494645748212/?d=n).
