Found in a recently burned grassland area.
It is a baby salamander maybe about 5 inches

The bush was in the grasslands near the trail. It was located near some isolated oak trees, however I couldn’t specify the kind of oak tree. The leaves of this flower had a fragrant smell when rubbed. The petals of the flower were a bright red.

This was found on the underside of a dry but alive oak trunk
We found this scorpion underneath a dry cover board
We found this adult mouse and her 2-4 babies in a nest under the earth cover board at Pepperwood. She immediately covered the babies with her body when the cover board was lifted.
Dead lizard found on side of path. Tail looked squished and was separated from the rest of the body.
