Dead. Rigor mortis hadn't set in. Not expecting to find one there.
Must be the same one as yesterday. About 15 feet away from yesterday's sighting. Same sniffing/searching behavior, though it doesn't seem as hefty as yesterday. Still there 45 minutes later.
Not found on the 3rd day.
Dead on road. Had hoped to see one on campus, very sad to see it dead. People should really watch where they’re going.
Should be called Florida Banded Watersnake.

It was a very snakey day. 3rd one I've seen here and all in different spots.
Dead on the road. Rigor mortis hadn't set in. It's eyes were bulged out and there was trauma on the upper part of the body. Maybe a bike ran over it?? 15 years since I've seen one here.
Sad sight. Fresh roadkill with many flies.
AKA Yellow Ratsnake
It was still soft when I found it. I looked, but never found the snake.

Found on our CBC. Photo by John Swenfurth
Largest one I've seen in awhile. 5-6ft.
Roadkill. Not a good day for snakes.
