I've been finding these tiny, narrow-bodied critters under flakes of rock from the big blocks of stone (limestone?) newly added to the shoreline across from the Sunnyside pool. Are they larval Balaustium or something?
They range in colour from pale yellowish to reddish. They are not super fast but flee when exposed.
This mite was observed on Cabbage White Parasitoid Wasp (Cotesia glomerata) cocoons.
Different individuals.
Found in a floating springtail raft in a ditch after heavy rain.
The specimen in photo 4 may be different to the one in the other photos.
