A small flock of Black-capped Chickadees were foraging in this hedge row. Among this group were a couple of small greenish grey birds (that resembled kinglets) that disappeared from sight almost as soon as I realized they were there (and the only calls I heard were chickadees and distant corvids).
A group of house sparrows have been resident all summer, mostly based out of a neighbours spruce tree and associated hedge row along the fence line.
A Two-spotted lady beetle crawling on the leaves of cultivated/cultured raspberry canes.
A Black-billed Magpie was moving from tree along the boulevard In the University Research Park, poking among the branches, presumably foraging for food. I could hear other members its group nearby (they seemed to be exchanging contact calls), but could not see them when I took these photos.
