Tegu was found dead upside down in stream of water while collecting killifish for research. It has to be fresh since it was not there a couple of minutes ago when we passed the spot it was found.
I think what happened is that someone nearly decapitated the tegu and then tossed the body in the stream, where it then floated until it got stuck on some twigs

Sorry for blurry photos lol- the caiman was on top of the side of a 10ft dirt drop off- the caiman was startled by something and landed on the log before dashing into the water past us. No one was hurt :^) (including the caiman!)
