The centipede type things
I found two of these on the underside of pohutukawa leaves. The second photo shows eggs (9) inside when it was teased open.
A white tailed spider had decided to make its nest under our plastic bird bowl on the house deck. I picked up the bowl to replace the water, saw the spider then took the photos. She stayed put over her eggs. I then realised I had the tricky situation that 1/ her cover was the bird bowl and 2? she was on the only place that the bird bowl can sit. I tried to replace the bowl as perfectly as possible with the raised section over her. The eggs have remained looking fine, but I haven't seen the spider again. I hope she scurries to a crack when I move the bowl. She isn't splattered under the bowl (yes I checked). The egg sac is a beautiful pink,
