Domestic Cat (Felis catus)

Observer

birthedofearth

Date

May 2024

Description

The 1st of 2 cats found consuming a dead Sylvilagus floridanus (Eastern Cottontail) cub, belonging to a nest which was raided (very likely by one of them) earlier that day. This individual seems most likely to have been the culprit given that they were filmed investigating the nesting site, appearing to already be aware of its existence.
