What

White Ibis (Eudocimus albus)

Date

February 2, 2022 12:04 PM EST

Description

Visual description of the organism:
shape: The shape of the body of the wood stork looked so similar to the ball of the football for me. the beack was a
triangle shape.
size: they are usually 40-44 inches in length and 33.45 inches tall.
coloration: Its head was a little brown with no plumage with a long red beak. The body is mainly white and
it had long legs that are also the same color as a beak.
(if present) reproductive structures: could not recognize

At least one characteristic is present in the observation and
is a defining characteristic of the taxonomic group to which the
organism belongs. The wood stork is a big bird that can be found in the swamp. They usually live in tropical
regions with high humidity. They are white and seemed so skinny to me. I think a really characteristics of them
are their red oing legs and red long beak

Reference: https://nhpbs.org/natureworks/woodstork.htm

Habitat where the organism was found: I found the organism in Lettuce Lake Park which is located in
12927 Rain Forest St, Temple Terrace, FL 33617, United States. one of them was walking in the w
later and the others were standing on the woods near the lake

Known geographic distribution of the organism: The wood stork usually can be found in
subtropical and tropical habitats in North and South America, including the Caribbean.
They usually can be found near water in the woods or standing in the water.
